Come and have some fun making buttons with the Undergraduate Psychology Association (UPA) in support of National Eating Disorder Awareness Week (NEDAW)! There will be magazine clippings relating to positive body image that you can piece together to create something unique.

What is National Eating Disorder Awareness Week...?

The aim of NEDAW is to ultimately prevent eating disorders and body image issues while reducing the stigma surrounding eating disorders and improving access to treatment. Eating disorders are serious, life-threatening illnesses — not choices — and it’s important to recognize the pressures, attitudes and behaviors that shape the disorder.

Officially Official

As of September 17, 2009, UPA officially re-established itself on the SUNY New Paltz campus!

"Dear upanewpaltz,
This is an email to notify you that your charter has been approved of. Student Activities and Union Services has also been notified of your club's acceptance. Thank you for becoming active in the Student Association."

Right now, we're in the process of creating t-shirts, planning fundraisers and co-sponsoring an event November 5th which involves a lecture by Eric Weiner. We also now have an official meeting room on Wednesdays @ 7 pm in SUB 418.

More to come!
